Welcome to the Hillcrest Elementary PAC (Parent Advisory Council) in Surrey, BC! We are a group of dedicated parents and guardians who work together to support and enhance the educational experience of the students at Hillcrest Elementary.

As a PAC, we strive to provide a strong link between the school, the parents, and the community. We organize a variety of events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds for school programs and initiatives, and we also provide a forum for parents to discuss issues and share ideas. In addition to our fundraising efforts, we also offer a variety of programs and services to support the students, teachers, and parents at Hillcrest Elementary. 

At Hillcrest Elementary PAC, we believe that strong parental involvement is crucial to the success of our students. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive community at our school, and we welcome all parents and guardians to join us and get involved.

We are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment at Hillcrest Elementary, and we believe that by working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for supporting the Hillcrest Elementary PAC, and we look forward to working with you to make our school the best it can be.

Our goal is to provide a strong and supportive community for our students and their families, and to work closely with the school administration and staff to provide additional resources and opportunities for our students. We organize and host a variety of events and activities throughout the year, including fundraisers, community events, and educational programs.

The Hillcrest Elementary PAC, or Parent Advisory Council, is a group of dedicated parents, teachers, and community members who work together to support and enhance the education of our students at Hillcrest Elementary in Surrey, BC.

 

The School Act gives parents the right, through Parent Advisory Councils (PACs), to provide feedback in their school. PAC is the officially recognized collective voice of parents of their school. A PAC, through its elected officers, may advise the school board, the principal and staff of the school respecting any matter relating to the education of the students and the school.

PACs are forums within each school community to discuss matters affecting your school and the education of your children. Parents’ voices are a tremendous value to their school. They offer a wealth of ideas and support in the challenges that face all public schools. PACs strive to represent the diversity within their communities and contribute to the benefit of all students by:

  • providing opportunities to educate and inform parents about the school;

  • involving parents in volunteer activities; and

  • openly discussing parents’ concerns and aspirations for their schools.

All parents and guardians of students registered in Hillcrest Elementary School are consider to be voting members of the Hillcrest Elementary PAC. To become an active member, simply attend one of our meetings or events and let us know you’re interested in being more involved.

The Hillcrest Elementary PAC organizes and hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year, including fundraisers, community events, and educational programs. Our goal is to provide additional resources and opportunities for our students and to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment at Hillcrest Elementary.
There are many ways to get involved with the Hillcrest Elementary PAC, including attending our meetings and events, volunteering for one of our committees, or simply spreading the word about our activities. We welcome and appreciate any support you are able to provide.

As an autonomous body, the PAC must abide by its Constitution and Bylaws and the School Act. PACs are NOT required to register as a non-profit or under the BC Societies Act.
